Transportation

The city of Grodno is a major transportation hub in Belarus with a strong network of road and rail transport links. It is situated at the crossroads linking the East and West. The uniqueness of its geographic location is a resource that is widely used in the development of cross-border links and has a strategic importance in the economy of Belarus.

The very location of the city of Grodno contributes to the development of transit routes in the country and abroad.

Grodno Railway Station - the western gate of our country. First Class Border Station has the appropriate infrastructure to service passengers with warning and information systems. There is a direct line with all regional centers of the country. The station receives and sends trains to Minsk, Moscow, St. - Petersburg, Vitebsk, Gomel, Mogilev , etc. In addition, there are direct trains to Brest and Adler.

Grodno Airport is located at a distance of eighteen kilometres from the city. It’s able to take aircraft of any class.

The city is connected by bus to the regional centers - Minsk, Brest and district centers of Grodno region, cities of other regions of the country, as well as foreign cities and town- Druskininkai, Kaunas, Riga, Lodz, Warsaw, Bialystok, Prague. Buses serve about 3,800 passengers daily.
